Obituary of Catherine T. Gentilella

Gentilella, Catherine Theresa (McEnroy), 90, longtime resident of Bellmore, on June 8, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Rocco Joseph, to whom she was married for 62 years; sister of the late Margaret Mary Young; and sister-in-law of Emil Gentilella and Marie Ide. Loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A devout Catholic who was kind and generous, Catherine was an associate of the Congregation of the Infant Jesus, a member of the Society of St Vincent de Paul, and for over 50 years a member of St. Barnabas Church in Bellmore. She traveled the world with Joe, from Ireland to Italy and Israel, and returned home with tales of adventure, family and devotion that she and her husband happily shared with warmth, humor and love. Visitation Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at C.S. Bartholomew and Son, Inc., 302 South Bedford Ave, Bellmore. Funeral Mass Friday , 9:45 a.m. at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, Bellmore.
