I was so sad to learn that Emily had passed away last week. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I've been renting my Brooklyn apartment from her and her late husband, George, since 1992. I very much miss seeing her bright cheery face in their little shop on Court Street. I feel lucky to have known her. She was one of those rare people who was genuinely interested in others and simply had a brightness like no other. My condolences to her family. I know this must be a very difficult time. May she rest in peace.
