Splescia, Alberta Louise Settanni of Wantagh, NY on June 15, 2016. Daughter of Albert J. and Elizabeth Beirne Settanni. Younger sister of Ada, John, Beatrice, older sister of Joseph, Mary, and Catherine. Wife of Ambrose Splescia. Mother of Ambrose (Buck), Thomas, Lauretta, Patricia, and Catherine. Grandmother of Carine, Siobhan, Daria, and Trent Kowalik, Wesley, Bridget, Theodore, Shane, and Margaret Craig, and Mitchell Van Doff. 

Alberta is known for her generosity and unparalleled commitment to family and friends. She was active in the local school system and in her parish. She also spent many years serving the community as a board member of the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce. She has been presented with several citations and awards from the town of Hempstead for her exemplary work and leadership.
