I only know of Mr. Dragonetti from his son Mike, an outstanding Stamford, CT fireman, and my friend. On the few occasions a year that I have seen Mike over the last 15 years or so, his father routinely came up in conversation. I always thought of this as a tremendous legacy for any father, and am certain that I would have been the better had I met him. Today I am sad to hear of his passing, and offer my thanks for his service in the Navy and the FDNY, and my condolences to all of his family and his many friends.
