Obituary of Frank Peter Spaziani
Frank Peter Spaziani of Bellmore, N.Y., passed on Aug. 15, 2018. He was 65 years old.
He is the cherished husband of 43 years to Margaret (married June 29, 1975); loving father of Rose, Anthony (Bianca), and Peter; and beloved grandfather of Ellie. Frank was a lifelong New Yorker and proud American.
Frank’s kindness, generosity, and belief in God were shown by his daily example of what it means to give of yourself to others. He could always be counted on to offer a helping hand, to share solid advice, and to bring cheer to all occasions.
Frank was a great provider to his family. He owned and operated Forge Fabricators, an iron works business in Ozone Park, N.Y., for 38 years.
His family misses his steady stream of love, his laugh and his smile, his vibrant energy, his compassionate nature, his good humor, and his adventurous spirit.
Speaking of adventure, Frank enjoyed taking impromptu summer road trips with Margaret, Rose, Anthony, and Peter over the years. He always drove on these trips and surprised his family with different destinations. Together they drove over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Maryland, toured the Wright Brothers National Memorial in North Carolina, dined on a riverboat in Kentucky, hunted for deep dish pizza in Chicago, rode too many rides to list in Walt Disney World, and so much more.
Frank’s zest for life was also expressed by the joy he took in cooking for other people. Frank relished having his family together for dinner on Sundays, holidays, and birthdays. He was known to barbecue or make pasta and sauce with meatballs. A meal with Frank always meant delicious food, lively conversation, and the warmth of his love.
In addition, Frank’s love extends to his large and caring Italian-American family. He is the son of Rose (Mandarino) Spaziani and the late Anthony Spaziani; the dearest brother of Marie Marinacci (Leo) and Lucy DiMola (Bruce); the fun-loving uncle of Stefanie (David) Huppertz, Michael DiMola, David DiMola (Corrinne), Regina Lutz (Eugene), and John Marinacci; and the great uncle of Jack and Ava Lutz, Emiliana and Sophie Huppertz, and David DiMola Jr.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, August 17 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9:30 p.m. at Clair S. Bartholomew & Son, Inc., 302 Bedford Ave., Bellmore, N.Y.
A funeral mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 18 at St. Barnabas Church, 2320 Bedford Avenue, Bellmore, N.Y. Burial follows at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y.
