I just found out today of Tom’s passing. We worked together on various construction jobs at Our Lady Of Grace. He was one of the most pleasant people I have ever met. His faith was infectious. We kept in touch for a few years once I was laid off. We knew he was sick but he was always optimistic another treatment would come along once the one he finished stopped working. He is in heaven with all the angels and his Heavenly Father. God bless you Tom. Thanks for the memories.

Maureen and I and our children were so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He made such an impression on me when we were roommates at Sloan Kettering. Such a wonderful person he was. Tom and I would be awake at night and talk and please know that he loved you all. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Dan Corkrey and family.

Tom was a unique individual. Family community and church oriented. As a leaders in Cub Pack and Scout Troop 192 we saw the fruits of our community work as our youth grew into adults. Rest easy good friend. You fought the good fight. Relish in your new traveles. Ahoalton

I always had great memories every time Tommy and my other cousins would gather. I remember one time in the Pocono’s when we were all sitting in the car enjoying Dark side of the moon, all the cousins humming in harmony to the album. I am sad that Tommy is gone, but happy that he is now out of pain. Welcome Tommy to the great gig in the sky. I hope to join you there some day.

My heartfelt condolences to Rosemary, Lucy, John and Laura. Tom loved each of you with all his heart. He spoke about you and Clara often and worried about you more than himself. He was the most positive person I have every met and his faith kept him smiling through it all. We will all miss the lunches we shared at Holy Rood listening to Tom's stories about the great vacations the family shared and his years in the pasta business. We will take good care of him and he will have lots of visitors at Holy Rood. Tom will receive the reward he so deserves now that he is in God's peaceful embrace.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in
the hollow of His hand.
Rest in peace my friend, It has been a long road.

I only met Tom once and it was with my wife Ann who worked with Tom at Holy Rood Cemetery. We have a lot in common, first responders whose lives were changed forever on 9/11/2001. As a firefighter and former Fire Commissioner for Nassau County and a Emergency Manager we both responder as we were trained.
Tom to the pile and me as a logistics coordinator we never crossed paths as we worked to ensure our colleagues were found. Ann has reflected on the challenges that Tom has faced over these years. I can't change the outcome I can only state that Tom was outstanding and he will be missed and be welcomed home by other hero's at heavens gate. Well Done Tom

There were three people I grew the closest to while working at Demaco: Joe lll, JL, and Tommy. These three were my family, people I could say anything to without filtering my thoughts; those who don't know me see what passes through but a clogged drain, but those who DO know me -- my real friends -- they see the unfiltered stream of consciousness, and this is why Tommy and I became so close during that period. Tommy had a great sense of humor and could always hit the ball back with spin. He could make me explosively laugh and was always that breath of fresh air and a person I could say anything to. Tommy had not a deceitful bone in his body. He was ABSOLUTELY trustworthy, and a kind soul who NEVER required even a hint of calibration of his moral compass. Tommy knew right from wrong, and a Grand Canyon separated the two. In a world of ever-increasing moral ambiguity, Tommy was a beacon of rightness, and I will miss him tremendously.

Rosemary, Tony and Barbara Spinelli our daughter Hollys in laws informed us of Tom's passing. At all the family functions over the last several years we (I) have enjoyed so many great, wonderful and special conversations with Tom. He always was a kind, sweet and generous soul. Phyllis and I sat with you and your brother recently at the wedding of Christine & Joe.
Please accept our condolences at this time as we have retired and moved to Myrtle Beach, if not we would of been in attendance. We now know that Tom is in heaven with other family members and looking down at us and is not suffering.
All our Love, Sincere Regards,
Glenn and Phyllis Gaag
