I Just heard about Rich's passing, - I worked with him for over 20 years and have a heavy heart today, he would talk about the beach and we would crack jokes and talk junk about the most random things, I always picked up his shows to air in Detroit, cuz he was a great guy, someone you could just sit and chat with and enjoy - he will truly be missed =( and i'll miss him yelling my name in the phone when he would call - he always made me smile when he did that -

I met Rich many years ago through the television business. I cleared many of the shows that Rich syndicated. I always enjoyed our meetings when we would attend NATPE. Rich was a wonderful man, and will be missed.

Sage was the string that held us all together. We always said that if you came into his life you never went out. This was never a great thing regarding our ex-girlfriends!
I've known Richard for going on 50 years. He's made me laugh (often) and cry (rarely). There has been so much history, I cannot distill it to a few words. I cant' even express it in many.
I love you my friend. I will remember you every day for the rest of my life.

Richard is and was my sister Darlene's dearest and special friend and confidant. He cared about her like family. I am so greatful to you Richard for loving her and caring about her as much as you did. You were so special to both of us. I was blessed to be able to rely on you in knowing that you were her "go to buddy". Thanx Richard for always being there without judgement. She will miss your beach escapades and breakfast visits and daily heartfelt phone conversations. Peace be with you now. Fly with all the Angels in that sunny sky that you loved. See you when we get there Rich.

Dear Bobby Selena Angela Charles and Jessica… I’m Met Richard almost 45 years ago in college and want to extend my sincere condolences for your loss. Richard had a way of always making you feel better and that you walked away with an honest and sincere feeling of friendship. He was the glue that kept everything intact. It’s a very special gift and he had it. I will truly miss him as we all will and hope someday we can walk together in eternity. Love to all especially you Richard! I just loved the way he called a spade a spade you can’t beat it! The beach will never be the same except in our hearts.

Richard, we go back longer than we can remember 45 years or so. You have always been there to talk and shoot the s..t, meet up at concerts, go out to dinner or whatever. We really don't know what life will be like without you in it. You have taken your Last Ride and it is time you have been called home.
We love you!

Rich “Sage” and I go back 40 years both starting our first “real” job at Editel Video.
We worked together, pal’ed around together and remained lifelong friends. I feel like I lost my soul brother as we were close and shared many things about our lives.
Career wise he went his way and I went mine, in the same Broadcast TV industry, so sometimes we were clients of each other. Our personal and professional worlds intersected.
Sage kept me laughing, cracking me up regularly. Also he gave me a lot of life advice and saw me through some really troubled times. Smart, funny, loved his animals including his giant fish. I loved his cats and his lizard!
Seems such a terrible shame, that a man so full of life, of friendship, of love for others to be taken this way, so young and so ebullient. I can only say that it is just not right, not fair.
Sage, you know I love you, and you always made me feel your love. See you up there some day. I truly pray we meet again. There’s a bunch of people I want you to meet. Always the friendliest outgoing person, that’s Sage. Had so many friends.
Rest In Peace my soul brother, rest comfortably.
“See ya” someday.
