I remember at Chris and Sue’s wedding get together in Mexico my Mom declined a semi scuba event a number of us were going to do. My Mom was too frightened of the caves and moving water and so she didn’t want to do it. I think my Mom was a little embarrassed about bowing out and then Mary Anne decided to not do it also. It is my belief that Mary Anne did that partly to ease my Mom’s embarrassment. It was the kind of nice gesture that was emblematic of her and I never forgot it. May Mary Anne’s family find comfort in a life well lived.
