Obituary of Kathleen J. Mc Carthy

At this time, attendance is limited to a small number of individuals in the funeral home at a time and a mask is required. Kathleen J. “Bonnie” McCarthy Kathleen “Bonnie” (nee Nugent) McCarthy passed away on July 17th, 2020. She was happily married to Buddy McCarthy for 53 years, mother of Noreen and Kathleen, beloved grandma to Caitlin and Keira, sister-in-law to Patricia Nugent and Mary McCarthy, and aunt to Kenneth Nugent and many other nieces and nephews. She retired from the New York Telephone Company after many years of service, and then opened Shenanigans Pub in Brooklyn with her beloved Buddy. Bonnie was a member of the Brooklyn Tavern Owners’ Association and the Saw Creek Women’s Club. In addition, she loved her two week jaunts to Myrtle Beach during the summer, relaxing at her Pocono get away, planning her next voyage on the Queen Mary with friends and family, and traveling to Co. Tyrone to visit her cousins. And a Sunday didn’t go by that Bonnie was not listening to the Ceol na Gael on WFUV from Fordham University.
