We are heartbroken at the lost of a great human being and warm and caring father in law. However, I know that he is rejoicing with the Lord and dancing with this beautiful wife Marta. We would hoping to see him again this year but Covid stopped us from making the trip to NY. To my beloved Carlos, please know that I will be here for you during your time of sorrow. Annie, Arlene, Betsy and Louie, my deepest condolences. As well to all the grand children and great grandchildren that will continue his legacy. Love you all. Mindy

Rest In Peace Alfredo Rivera, my Grampi. There are so many qualities my grandfather had that I admire. He was strong, very hard working, kind, calm, funny, thoughtful, loving. I will always remember his laugh and smile. I will forever cherish the time we spent together.
Alfredo and Marta, thank you for giving me my beautiful family. We are all so grateful for the memories made and lessons we learned from you. I find comfort knowing you are together again. You will both be in my heart forever.
Always, Jennifer

Dear Pa,
I take comfort in knowing that you're not in pain any longer and are now with mom. Just like mom, you taught us compassion and empathy towards others. You were a wonderful father with an incredible sense of humor and a heart of gold. I will forever be grateful for your love and how you worked so hard to provide for us. We lost you this week in body, but not in spirit. You will never be forgotten, as we will hold you close within our hearts. Until we meet again. Love you forever, Annie.

How do I convey the absolute love, devotion to family, endless hard work and sacrifice that our father gave to us? My heart is torn from moments of realizing that Pa will no longer be there to see his loving family and yet It rejoices in the realization that his job on this earth is complete that he is being welcomed back to heaven to be with mom and the loving light of our creator.
I remember being very young may 5 or 6 yrs old. I was hanging by the kitchen doorway in an apartment on Elery St. in Brooklyn. I fell and broke my nose blood all over the place. My poor mom couldn't take me to the hospital as we were new to this place and she had no one to take care of my brother and sisters. My dad gets home and I must of bled out quite a bit as he immediately grabbed me and off to the hospital we go I remember being terrified and started to shake my dad picked me up told me to look into his eyes and told me that he would never let anything hurt me.
My dad worked in China Town where he had to most of the time walk across many blocks to get to work at 5:00 am and would get home after we were already in bed. I could write a book of all the people this beautiful soul has touched.
I love you papito you and mom are and always be in our hearts.

Our condolences and sympathy. On behalf of the Sevilla Rivera, our deeps sentiments. We as a family remember Tio Cano, when every time he came to Sabana Seca when we were kids, he always spent time with us. His many jokes made us laugh like crazy.
