Obituary of Karen S. Smith

Karen S. Smith, of Merrick, NY, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard. For the most part, she was the beloved mother of Karen, Margie, and Richie. Loosely tolerated by Karen and Richie’s spouses, Mersailles and Jamie. Rarely tolerated by - but often forcing her presence on - Margie’s spouse, Kevin, for the past 18 years (but he’s not counting). She loved her grandchildren, Cynthia, Nicole, Marc, and Alyssa equally, but she’ll haunt us forever if we don’t acknowledge that she loved her grandson Anthony the most. In all seriousness, she will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, please take your mom out to dinner and tell her you love her, since we no longer can.
